Mr. Sharad Patil – Founder

Sharad Patil  holds Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Vikram University, Ujjain. He has worked for over two  and half decades with well-known companies, viz. MSD,  Parke- Davis (now merged with (Pfizer),  Ciba-Geigy, now Novartis, and the Standard Chartered Bank as their Head-HR.  He was a Member of Executive Management Committee in all these organisations. He has effectively dealt with various facets of HR management. He took several initiatives resulting in, among others, workforce restructuring, involving  plant closures, restructuring work-force remuneration resulting in reducing dearness allowance including capping the D.A. thru a negotiated settlement in a very volatile IR environment.  Also contributed to significant improvement of productivity in all these organizations.  He has been a visiting faculty in a number of well-known management education institutes   He has taken an active part in the professional institutes such as the  NIPM, NHRDN, and the ISTD.
He took an active part in a number of industry Associations, such as the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, OPPI, and  the  IBA. Over a decade and a half, he was Director General of the Employers Federation of India championing cause of Indian employers at the State and the Central Govt. and international levels thru t he ILO and also providing user-friendly services to the employers. During this period, he was a Member of the Central Board of Trustees, Employees Provident Fund Organization, Member of the ESI Corporation, Governing body member of the V V. Girl National Labour Institute, and Governing body member of the Indian Institute of Applied Manpower Research. He has also been a Governing Body Member of the ILO,Geneva. He and his family live in Mumbai.

He has also spent Two decades in Industry, heading Human Resource Divisions of several Corporate as Vice President- HR. He has also spent two decades in teaching and training. He has been the faculty at NITIE, Mumbai and also at School of Business at NMIMS, Mumbai. He has been the Associate Dean (Executive Education) at NMIMS, Mumbai. He was given the Best Teacher award by Bombay Management Association in the year 2004, and also the Best Teacher of Human Resource by Dewang Mehta Award in the year 2011. He is at present Independent Director on the Board of GPL. He is also actively associated with several Professional organizations viz. ISTD, Bombay Management Association, All India Management Association, National Institute of Personnel Management, Forum of Higher Education, and AOTS, Japan.
